Full local listings. Every other state has a starter list — more coming.
We ask a church one question: can we use your parking lot at night? Then we bring everything else.
Legally and safely, 7 PM to 7 AM. No more moving every few hours, no knock on the glass at 2 AM.
A portable restroom, serviced weekly — the one thing a car can't give you.
One person on site overnight. Not security — a presence. Someone who knows your name.
Housing lists, job programs, benefits you're owed. The parking spot is the floor. The caseworker is the door.
Registered vehicle. No drugs, alcohol, or weapons. Quiet hours. Respect for the host.
Safe parking isn't new. Dreams for Change opened the first program in San Diego in 2009, and Safe Parking LA has run lots since 2017. We're bringing the model to churches that already have the lot.
No building, no construction. The lot is already paved and lit. A site runs on a restroom, supplies, and volunteers.
No zoning fight and no funding cycle. A church says yes, a restroom goes down, and the lot can open within weeks.
No one gives up their car, belongings, pet, partner, or independence. They keep what they have and gain a safe place to keep it.
We partner with organizations like Goodwill and local service agencies so every lot leads to jobs, benefits, and housing.
